Is that picture going to go in "girls with offsets"?
I was kinda hopin' for pics with the D&B neck...
edit: Ignore my first...I just came from there and answered my own question!

I may have said this before about another guitar, but I do believe that is the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen. I withdraw any previous claims. that is amazing....

Maybe it's just me but the colour of the maple headstock (it's shade / tint I mean) is really well balanced with the blue? Anyone else know what I mean?

it looks great!
but knowing Doug, he'll go for the Dots & Binding, as it would be a better match for the parts dates of the rest of the guitar
the blocks and binding look great though, don't get me wrong!

Re: "PROJECT '65" Update! Pics!
Thanks for all the input.
I'm keeping it. It's too damn nice to not let it live. I'll keep an eye out for a '66 neckplate and pots for it, and I still need vintage gray pickups. Right now, the pups are the ONLY thing on it not vintage.
Maybe my next project will be the '65 FR D&B JM that I wanted.
But I still want to build a vintage Jaguar and the Hardtail Jag that's been on my books for awhile now... :-[

glimmertwin - I know! It reminds me of that pic of the Maruader that we always see. It just seems so typical of the early CBS era.Something about that color lends itself well to to the B&B neck

i think you're making the right move.
When I saw the first pics of the guitar assembled I was thinking... I NEED me one of those...
I couldn't be more jealous, it looks shockingly good.

GASP LOVE! The blocks and binding look great on that.
Times change. Remember when dog Jimmy used to go white and chalky? Now it grows hair! We got used to it. We'll get used to poly. -blueavenger
