Re: Offset Parts and Suppliers
Just in case someone cares...(doubtful ) My use of Google's DNS servers seems to have been causing the issue. Reconfigured my router to use my ISP's DNS and voila! Fix0red.

Re: Offset Parts and Suppliers
Please, anyone,
is there a European company that sells all the screws needed for a Jazzmaster?
I tried http://www.guitar-parts.nl/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
, but they don't have the tremolo-screws and the height-adjustements for the pickups.
The regular pickguardscrews, neckscrews+neckplate in nikkel can be ordered from them.
I'd like to have one adress where I can order everything from , and I'd like to avoid import taxes from the American companies.
Thanks a lot.

Will 3x25mm for trem screws and 1,12x35mm for height-adjustement screws do the job?

Re: Offset Parts and Suppliers
All I can say is think twice before ordering from Angela's Inst. Ripped me off on postage & one of the parts has failed after less than a month. I paid $15 postage, they paid $3.96 - according to them that's fair, and no refund should be offered. Apparently I'm a feedback extortionist for asking for a refund on excessive postage (as defined by e-bay policy).

Are there a lot of places that ship to the UK? I'm not suggesting getting a whole section for UK or Europe but a lot of the recommendations are for the US, which has all the best sites but costs so much to ship stuff here.

Re: Offset Parts and Suppliers
Add me to the list of people with bad Angelas instrument service. I messaged on ebay just to ask if their so called NOS mustang tremolo springs really did fit vintage mustangs (the allparts ones are about a 1/4 inch longer than actual vintage). He sent me a rude email about how they do and blocked me from bidding on his ebay store. I created another ebay account and bought the springs, turned out they are just a slightly discolored more expensive variation on the allparts ones ie are also 1/4 inch longer.

Hi!
The angela's stuff are expensive for most of all!! and they only sell the US vibrato for jaguar in a kit, you have to look for all to thing you need and built it by yourself..
An ebay seller called joshmr is more affordable.. But less choice..

Re: Offset Parts and Suppliers
Dang!
The shipping fees from US to Sweden have gone totally haywire lately. Angela now charges $65 for a package overseas!!!??!!
They charged like $29 two years ago for an equal package and was with that price one of the most expensive alternatives.
Also a small package on a part I won on ebay costed $50 in shipping.... two years ago it would have been $15 tops.
Is this due to the weak dollar that they have to raise the shipping fees, or did I just ran into two rotten apples the same day?

Re: Offset Parts and Suppliers
Here's an unsolicited plug for Warmoth. I recently screwed up an online order for an offset build that I'm doing using several Warmoth parts. I thought that I'd be hit with a hefty re-stocking charge or penalty since it was my fault and there had been some custom cutting done. Well, after speaking with the sales manager there, I only ended up having to pay shipping on an even exchange for what I needed. They were cooler about it than I thought might be the case. Will definitely be coming back to them again.
