why is it odd or why is it routed that way? I just think it's odd it's routed for strat pups. JM pups have such a nice sound. It's one's own choice though. I just wouldn't do it.

Yeah...I'm not so into it. It isn't just the fact it's got Strat pickup and bridge routing (like a fancy flamed Jagmaster), it's the flame maple top. It screams Gibson to me. It looks tacky to me. Give me a surf green one any day.

I don't like the flame maple either and when it comes to bursts, I only like tobacco and 3ts so  :k :P

Same here, i guess flame maple is okay on a Les Paul if you're of the Gibson persuasion, but on a Fender body it just looks strange.
