Re: jaguar/jazzmaster cases
I took delivery today on a case that fits both Jazzmasters and Jaguars perfectly. It's made by Access Bags and Cases and was purchased on eBay from Barry Clark Music.

They're cheaper than the Fender stuff and seem to be well made. I have no affiliation with Access or Barry Clark and wanted to pass along an option for those who need a hardshell case for a JM or Jag.

Re: jaguar/jazzmaster cases
That roadrunner case looks just like the Access case, but with a velcro strap inside. The Access case doesn't have a strap.
I too would like to know what specific Gator case, or what specific flight case, you people have said fit your Jags/Jazzmasters. Clearly most cases made by Gator, and most flight cases, will not fit.
Someone posted this the other day, looks interesting:

I've got the Access case (from Barry Clark) too. to me it does not feel as solid/ protective as the Fender case I have for my other guitar. Thinner plywood I bet. But it weighs so much less, and it is perfectly balanced in my hand when I carry it. I might ditch the other guitar's Fender case, I find the Fender to be a much greater chore to lug around.

Re: jaguar/jazzmaster cases
hey, i'm another guy looking for a shaped guitar case to fit my jazzmaster. there's another thread on the board about this, but all i could gleam from it was that old framus cases for the strato-something would fit.
any other options?

Re: jaguar/jazzmaster cases
I finally purchased a hard case for my JM last week. I can't believe it's taken 3 1/2 years to get round to this! The Fender gig bag I have is better than most, well padded but the straps have fallen off after just a year. Lame.
I got the Hiscox STD-JAG/JM case and it's brilliant. Fits the JM without any issues and feels solid for the money - just £60.00 from an online shop. Recommended.

For all you Hiscox users: can you leave the tremelo arm on the guitar when its in the case with the case closed, or does the arm need to be removed for the case to close properly, without undo concern about the case lid pushing down too hard on the arm?
Thought I'd read someplace that the arm had to be removed.

Cool. Which on-line shop? DV247 or another one?spacewhale wrote:I finally purchased a hard case for my JM last week. I can't believe it's taken 3 1/2 years to get round to this! The Fender gig bag I have is better than most, well padded but the straps have fallen off after just a year. Lame.

By the looks of it, it wouldn't fit my CBS JM, which is a tad taller than my '64... seems like there isn't room left between the headstock and the edge of the case. But hey, the '64 can go in the Hiscox and the '69 in the Fender case, issues solved. Thanks for the photo!

Re: jaguar/jazzmaster cases
While checking out the pseudo-Jazzmasters at Guitar Fetish, I happened to notice that they sell an economy case for those models at $59.

The Musician's Gear Deluxe Electric Guitar Hard Case fits Jazzmasters. I can confirm... as I have one. Sometimes these come up as the "Stupid Deal of the Day" for $40 on Musician's Friend, which is insane. I purchased it last time this occurred.

Can confirm you can still squeeze a JM into a Hiscox (and leave the arm on). The headstock touches the end but it's fine, I've flown with it. The model is E-JAG
It also fits a Venus perfectly, should anyone be interested.

Re: jaguar/jazzmaster cases
SKB jazz/jag case is top notch. It also fits my 76 Musicmaster and my CV Duo-sonic ( ehhh not at the same time tho ). I always leave the trem arm in the guitar, no problem.

Thanks all for weighing in.
I bought the SKB case with the 15% off from GC. I'm having it delivered to the store, to save on paying tax.
