Re: guitars you wish you never sold!
Man, there have been a few!
A 70's-something LPB Jag with blocks and binding.
A 60's-something Rickenbacker 12 string in Fireglo with double binding and sharkfin inlays.
One of the original 1982 AVRI 52 Telecasters.
A 1960 Gibson Les Paul SG that used to belong to Tommy Bolin.
A 1981 black and gold, short scale Rickenbaker 350 with the three pickups and an "R" tailpiece.
A late 60's or early 70's cherryburst, flametop Les Paul Standard with a brass nut and coverless pickups.
A 1981 Hamer Special. (But I nabbed another one just like it a few years ago, so it doesn't hurt so much!)
A late 70's poo-brown hardtail Stratocaster, that was heavier than the Les Paul. (I only wish I'd kept it, so I could sell it for big bucks and get a vintage JM.)
OK, I'm going to go cry now.

Re: guitars you wish you never sold!
As soon as I nab a Jaguar or Jazzmaster, I don't think I'll regret selling my Dano copper 56 U2. And if I do, I still have a minty sparkling and spanking Dano DC3 incase I want to revisit the lipstick pickup sounds.
...a loaf of bread, a jug of wine and my Jag....

I am feeling everybody's pain also.
I sold a 1969 CA RED competition mustang with competition stripes that went ALL THE WAY around the front and back of the body to go to a destination wedding. It had a very rare / early features compared to all other competition mustangs I've seen since.

Re: guitars you wish you never sold!
Do guitars we destroyed count, or its just the ones we sold?? :-[
Because I smashed a nice 1960's sunburst Saturn to pieces in a on-stage-punk-rock-attitude-ritual when I was a teen that I have regretted since then. I remember picking up some parts afterwards to reuse... Actually one of its pickups is now on one of my acoustic guitars. I don't remember where the rest went.

Re: guitars you wish you never sold!
my squire silverburst strat. im not really a strat guy, but that guitar was so amazing. the neck was great, the finish was cool, it was nasty and awesome sounding, DAMMIT! i was tight for cash and had to let it go. that strat was the reason i now have faith in squire again.
