... no seriously. It's the L-series sunburst I showed in my introduction a while ago.
When I got it in '89, it was kinda dirty. I never bothered cleaning it decently.
Yesterday, I got some high-end lemon oil, cleaned the fretboard and everything.
IT PLAYS AND SOUNDS LIKE A NEW GUITAR! SERIOUSLY!
I always considered it as the 64JMs little sister, but now it's... it's...
I want another one! And another! Man was I ignorant...

Does it smell like a new guitar?
Times change. Remember when dog Jimmy used to go white and chalky? Now it grows hair! We got used to it. We'll get used to poly. -blueavenger

I'll bet it smells like fresh delicious lemons.
I need to do the same to my Mustang bass. I know I'm going to be the same way about it when I do. It's a dirty bird.

Re: I cleaned my Jaguar...
basically, it smells like lemon oil, yeah...
It sounds much less muffled, more open, more highs,
I didn't plug it in yet, but it is such a difference.
It didn't dare to touch it anymore with other cleaning fluids,
they just ruined the nice nitro finish, it really came off in spots,
I will never use anything except lemon oil anymore...

Re: I cleaned my Jaguar...
MY brother restores clocks. He got this clock case restorer that is the best think I have ever used.
Even better than lemon oil.
It is called Curator Clock Case Restorer and is made in England.
Horological Solvents LTD Proctor Street Bury Lancs.
I have to send away from it since I live in the United States.
But this stuff is absolutely the most amazing shit I have ever used.
You can even clean the strings with it on the guitar.

mezcalhead, let me know how you like it. It's about 8 US per bottle and you don't need to use alot.
I just ordered 4 bottles of it over the internet.
