Gig Bags for Jazzmasters
I need to get a decent gig bag for my Jazzmaster, but it can be a pain in the ass to fit a Jazzmaster into a standard one. I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations for me.

i have two "rockbags" by warwick, and they work pretty well. you have to stretch it a bit to get it over the headstock, but it´s not too tight of a fit.

Yes, I am in need of a gig bag, too! Good thread.

I have a TKL bag that came with my SG. I have no idea if a Jazzmaster will fit in one but I'll give it a try when I get home. I'd guess it won't.

Re: Gig Bags for Jazzmasters
Great thread. I'm looking at hard-cases for my Jazzmaster at the moment. The vintage ones are way too expensive on ebay. I've found a place in Europe that does 3 different new ones...

I'd also like to get a gigbag for it, nice & padded, but I can't see any. I'll keep watching this thread. Hopefully something'll come up.

You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

To take a slightly more pro-active stance here...
Has anyone tried to fit their JM into one of the "World Tour" gigbags? I know SKB makes some, but I haven't ever heard if they fit a JM/Jag.
I can't think of anyone else beyond Gator or Rockcase.

Coffin case! They sold me one of those when i bought my JM it's like a hardbag wierd kind of thing. It was the only one i n the shop that would hold a JM.
I prefer their older stuff.

Wait, is that the case I've seen that looks like a vampire coffin? I think I know what you're talking about.aen wrote: Coffin case! They sold me one of those when i bought my JM it's like a hardbag wierd kind of thing. It was the only one i n the shop that would hold a JM.
I'll have to check it out.

Re: Gig Bags for Jazzmasters
I use a Levy's CM-8 gigbag for both my JM and Jag. It's actually a bass gigbag but it's just the right length for my JM. It looks very similar to the TKL bag from luau only a bit longer. You could also try the CM-7 which is meant for guitar although I'm not sure if it'll fit a Jazzmaster.
I have a hard case in backorder from Hiscox (model STD-EJAG). I like the Hiscox cases because they're light and offer good protection but I haven't seen it yet so I can't comment on how it'll fit yet.

Thanks guys!
Nice jazzmaster, luau. The gold guard is very sleek.
