I'd like to order a custom shop 1969 jazzmaster in fiesta red

Post by samytv » Mon Feb 12, 2007 12:25 pm

Hi,
I'm new and I'm from Belgium.

I'm dreaming of ordering a 1969 fiesta red jazzmaster (with block and binding but without matching headstock) to the custom shop but I've two questions:

-What price should I expect to pay?

-Does anybody knows where to ask a quote and order a custom shop in Belgium because I asked to most of the local store and nobody knows?

Thanks

hi there, it will be a bit pricey....

not sure on the exact price...the best starting point is to look up your nearest official Fender dealer, and talk to them...

sorry for the scrollbars..... :(

When I see prices of custom shop items, I can't help but think people are getting mega ripped off.  It's not that Fender doesn't make a nice product but for $4k you could buy a refin on ebay and paint to whatever in the hell you want for less - it would be authentic vintage and still cost less.  Any custom builders would charge you half that and make something pretty frickin nice too - I know the resell isn't as good on custom built stuff, but I gotta think the Fender Custom Shop items don't fetch near what you paid for them either...I could be wrong there but that's my guess.

So true,i would much rather spend the USD$4,000 on an AUTHENTIC VINTAGE JZ!
Let me think........$4,000 on a new jz that looks vintage or $4,000 on a real vintage?

I agree with all of you that vintage are good, but i own several one (one from 65 and one from 69 with grover tuners)  and they're all sunburst and they're all well used. I'm looking for a mint custom color jazzmaster from 68 or 69 since a few years and never find out one. That's why I now would like to order the guitar of my dream to the custom shop.

I talked to several official dealers but none of them are able to order one of kind custom shop. They all told me that I have to go to Paris beacause there's a few authorized custom shop dealers there.

Fender's dealer list shows the Belgian dealer as being based in Germany .. so I guess there isn't an official Fender dealer in Belgium?
