Wheres the best places to find Vintage offsets

Post by Infliktor » Thu Feb 08, 2007 3:57 pm

I am looking at buying a Vintage 62 or 63 Jaguar.

Do you guys have any favorite dealers?

Or do you just hunt thru ebay and Gbase?

I'd say ebay is the best bet...gbase is waaaay too overpriced.

sometimes, getting google up and typing "1963 Fender Jaguar" might just bring up a lucky result of a shop's inventory that is not on gbase, and therefore has better pricing.

I'd say be patient and look around...you should be able to find one...they made loads of Jags back then (depending on the colour you want, obviously) :)

Dealers on gbase may be willing to negotiate though. Can't really do that through eBay.

I go to Fly by Night music in Neosho, MO they have a fairly ragged out 63 Jag there for $1400, not completely unsalvagable. I find local shops easier to deal with if you can put your cash on the table.
It's not about the gear! It's about you, your hands, your imagination, your feelings.

That's how I found my Jazzmaster. I typed "Jazzmaster for sale" in google, and I found one on a forum.
Why should we buy postage stamps? We can make our own.
