I'm the opposite. I prefer silver PAF's on an SG rather than the p90's. I think the P90's get lost on the black pick guard. Having said that, they do work nicely with the smaller guard on this one.BenHagerty wrote: So nice, I love sgs with p90s

I almost traded a 59 tremolux for one of those back in the day.
It's not about the gear! It's about you, your hands, your imagination, your feelings.

It's a good thing I don't have a drill press. My Classic would be getting operated on.

Lordy, that's one nice looking guitar!
I wish to propose a doctrine which may, I fear, appear wildly paradoxical and subversive. The doctrine in question is this: that it is undesirable to believe a proposition when there is no ground whatever for supposing it true. - Bertrand Russell

I see that and I can just about hear the live renditions of "My Generation" being played on that.
Isle of Wight, 1970, that is.

Actually, at the Isle of Wight, Townsend used a red SG special with the full pickguard... http://www.thewho.org/sg.htmCJay wrote: I see that and I can just about hear the live renditions of "My Generation" being played on that.

Hahah, I didn't know that. Thanks for the enlightenment though, I can use it as a trivia question next time.Kilgore Trout wrote:Actually, at the Isle of Wight, Townsend used a red SG special with the full pickguard... http://www.thewho.org/sg.htmCJay wrote: I see that and I can just about hear the live renditions of "My Generation" being played on that.

I have been on the fence about getting an SG for about ten years now. I have always wanted a non-reverse Firebird too, so rather than make a choice between the two, I have never gotten either
This isn’t some kind of metaphor
Goddamn this is real
