Progressing the Offset secession

Post by flatfiver » Mon Oct 02, 2006 9:01 pm

Hey!  This is where the people that know stuff went!  (Thanks, Jonas, for the subtle link over in Area 25 to the new Offset Dressing Room  ;))

My name is Patrick.  I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin - also known as Brew City, Beer City, Brew Town, etc. - though I tend to prefer porters, stouts & ales.  I work in the guitar/drums/keyboards/pro audio ("combo") department of a local music store where I spend most of my time staring at Squier Strats and wishing they were at least Jagmasters, if not actual JMs or Jags!

I spent 3 years in a university music program studying classical guitar before I eventually burned out on that.  I'm into a lot of different music, everything from classical to swing to jazz to blues to rock-n-roll to surf to classic rock to punk to pop to alternative to indie to... you get the idea.  I've been turned on to a lot of cool stuff by many of the FDPers here.  Favorite offsetters include Nels Cline and Elvis Costello.

This is all very cool - I'm looking forward to bashing a good many eBay auctions!   8)

There's even a dedicated forum for doing so. Happy bashing!
