it is salvageable I think...if you took all these out, filled the holes, and then shot a solid colour ontop it probably would look like nothing ever happened to it.

the problem with this one is, it's too expensive to buy and do all the work.

you'd need a new pickguard too probably...

If (and a big if) they're not screwed in but just "stuck" on it may not need to be filled/sanded and finished... just have the gunk cleaned off.  Of course it's still a little high for a refin that needs that much TLC but I was just sayin'...  it MAY not be quite the basket case it seems.

they could be glued in too....

but in any case, even if they went all the way through, they could still be filled with the appropriate wood, and then have finish applied over them (and a tinting coat to match the rest of the headstock)

they would probably show a bit still, but it wouldn't be too bad.

I've seen guitars being brought back from the dead at my luthier's :)

I can imagine John Travolta driving the Grease car, singing and playing that. All that leather

those are screws and upholstery nails in the body.. it'd definitely need some work but isn't too far gone imho, I actually kind of like that pin striping

To each his own, as they say...

Just seems like you could get a no-issues refin for that or less, depending on the year, etc.

Seems like it would have to be more of a bargain to take the plunge!

Yeah, I agree. It's way overpriced considering it's condition. It might be an alright price if all of that could just be taken off and restored to stock, which I doubt is the case with this guitar.

I'd drain my cordless drill taking all the bloody screws out of that thing, e-gods, it looks like it belongs to a damned gimp.
