Nice...I love that slight bluish tint of Olympic White.

Re: '62 JM oly. white/tort Clear is on. new pics!
2 cans of reranch clear. I decided on a body date of 10/61 to fall in between the other dates.
neck - 1/62
body - 10/61
pots - 6121, 6152
neck plate - 537XX
It was difficult to get the pencil lead to show up on the oly white. I used a dulled #2 pencil. In hindsight, I should have used a charcoal pencil or an HB lead, something softer and darker, but overall it looks pretty good IMO. Now I have to wait 30 days before wetsanding so the nitro will cure enough.

Looks like you did some quality work! Nice job!
Was it pretty easy to spray on the reranch oly white? How many coats did that one can last for?
This will be one helluva rebirth for this '62!

thanks, it did go on really easily. I didn't count coats. 3 passes = 1 coat so I imagine I have two coats on there (1 can). I sprayed the sides first (somewhat dry), then the front and back. Then I sprayed wetter passes...nice fan of paint, about 6-8 inches away, moving steadily and fairly quickly. I was sure not to immediately double up on the passes so I didn't get a run. I just sprayed one pass at a time until the entire body was covered, then repeated. If an area looked heavier or wet, I waited about 30 seconds to a few minutes before repassing over the area. Hope this helps you.Nord wrote: Looks like you did some quality work! Nice job!
