I have the full size analogman chorus & it has the thickest sounding chorus of the pedals I've owned/used.

It's seriously incredible. I wish I'd gotten one ages ago.

What's remarkable about it is that it can sound that good and do so with so little white noise going on. I can't wait to start using it live. I doesn't have that slight mid bump that the Boss units have, but the amount of depth and character more than makes up for it.

I don’t know if it has been recommended yet.. but a vintage Ibanez ad80 crushes them all. Besides maybe a boss ce1 or a vintage Roland Jazz Chorus

the Boss CE-2 (or the new CE-2w) or the Maxon PAC-9 are classics. I just got the Pine Box Customs Siren which I to explore

I haven't seen anyone mention this, on this thread or really anywhere else, but the Earthquaker Devices Aqueduct is covertly a *beautiful* chorus pedal - at least to these ears. Yes, it's a vibrato pedal and yes, folks just (rightfully) use it for the Shields-ian whammy bar emulation setting, but tweaking the rate and depth can produce my platonic ideal of a frosty chorus. I've owned and never 100% clicked with a few Boss Chorus models, but for some reason this hits my sweet spot. Your mileage may vary.

I'm just gonna add this...

The old Ibanez CS9 is the only one I truly like in stereo. It's also got a more animated sound than the Boss stuff.
I recently got the Fender Bubbler Chorus and it also sounds nice in stereo. It's got a rich sound, not as animated as the Ibanez but still nice.

How a chorus effect sounds in Stereo is the most important feature to me. The boss stuff seems to just throw the effect on one side. That's cool for using guitar amps but when you want to widen your sound with a synth or a DI Guitar, the Boss stuff leaves me wanting more. The CS9 has a nice balanced spread of sound.

Strymon Ola is my favorite. Very versatile pedal with a rich, spacious sound.

Neunaber Inspire Tri Chorus Plus is my second fave. Really impressive rack chorus sounds.

Outside of pedals I really like the chorus and vibrato on my JC-40 amp.

Another vote for the Ibanez CS9! It personally feels a bit more 'raw' than the boss sound, if that makes sense! Also, it's more subtle, and really works as a complement to your sound, rather than it becoming your sound, should that be what you are looking for.

If the small size isn't an issue, I also recommend getting the ibanez CSmini, which adds a level/mix control, though it does away with the stereo capability. I have both the original and the mini, and they both sound great! No significant difference in sound to my ears, at least.
