Sourcing Knobs

Post by jc808 » Fri Jun 26, 2020 2:14 pm

Pardon the crappy pic quality. Can anyone suggest where I might find knobs like these? Black barrel knobs with marks on top and side.

Cool. Thanks for that.

My pots are smooth shaft, so something with a set screw would probably be preferable. But I hadn’t looked at eBay so I’ll poke around there. Thanks

Just do an eBay search for black amplifier knobs. You'll find something.

To me those look like typical Fender style "Brownface" or "barrel" amp knobs. I can get replicas locally for about a euro a piece, but I think they're 1/4 inch or 6.3mm solid post screw on style, so you might need a brass potentiometer adapter to get them to sit properly. Shouldn't be a big investment.

That's a good point. They do look like brownface knobs. They seem a bit taller or narrower but I think that's an illusion created by their reflections in the chrome.

I get my flying saucer knobs from here, but they have something similar, though the pic is notably bad...
