What was your last show before covid-19
I guess it’d be fair to leave open to a show your band played but I’m looking more for the last concert you attended before the pandemic shut the world down. I’ll do both..
Last concert attended- Stereolab @930 club DC
Last concert played- Chicho’s Backstage in Norfolk, VA w/ Korine and Suburban Living 3/11/20

Sleater-Kinney at Brixton Academy, London.
It feels like centuries ago now...I had a great summer of gigs ahead of me:
Faith No More
Circle Jerks
Therapy?
Jawbox
Social Distortion
Bad Religion
Mudhoney (in September, but still kinda summer)
All (except the Circle Jerks show) already moved to 2021.

They were booked to play UT Connewitz, 10 minutes walk from our flat, in October.
We got a notification that tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled gig...in Oct 2021!
You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

Elvis Costello, 7th March, Sheffield City Hall. It was already feeling weird to be in a crowd then. Great gig though...

Jemma Freeman and the Cosmic Something at the Old Blue Last on February 5th. I only went out to see the first support act, Dutch Mustard, and stayed because what else would you do on a Wednesday evening when you have lectures early on the Thursday?

Shopping and Automatic at the Sunset on March 6. We already had “maybe this will be our last show in a while / is it smart that we’re even going out?” feeling, but I’ll treasure that last “packed in, dancing, crowd” moment.
Many shows have been postponed a year here, since that is a way for the venues/services to avoid having to give refunds...

Stereolab 8 March @ The Factory and things were already starting to feel a bit on edge, although they were great, then Schizophonics 13 March @ Marrickville Bowlo great show but the original support act couldn't make it as a member was "self isolating."
Had a bunch of tickets for Billy Bragg, Died Pretty, Fontaines D.C, DIAT, DIIV, Supergrass and a few other I cannot remember now. Everyone has refunded the tickets except the most expensive ones, Supergrass which was meant to happen on 5 May but they haven't even proposed a new date. We won't see international bands for at least another 12 months or more.

The Strokes with Alvvays opening on March 9th.
Not the wisest move. At that point it was pretty clear that the shelter in place order was coming, but I love Alvvays and had never seen them live. They did not disappoint.
Last show I played was at the end of January. It was my first and only show with my new band. It was a really good show too.

That was a great show. (Dean & Britta are doing a livestream from home tonight).
We only got a couple shows in with new lineup (with a bunch more to follow, all since canceled/postponed) when things shut down. I miss shows (both playing and seeing).

Re: What was your last show before covid-19
Punk kids at my school played a "flash" concert on the quad/library courtyard. Some unknown teacher unlocked the covers to the power outlets so they could plug in and play. The principal is a 63 year old woman who had no idea what to do. It was cool because the kids played songs from The Donnas (which is like the Ramones) and instantly became school rock stars. The singer is a 4'9 tiny 7th grade girl who was channeling Ozzy. I'm so proud of my students.
