...oh - and the little black lines in the humbucker in the schematic above indicate the two coil windings.

I keep coming back to this thread, time and time again. I just love the way this guitar rose from the ashes, so to speak.

For my own entertainment i put together some of the progress shots in one image...i think it tells quite an impressive story!

Cheers!
J

Saw that fugly voxificated body for sale & was too appalled to even dream of resurrection.
Fun thread to read through tonight - gotta say, hair stood right straight up upon butchering the Coronado headstock, however the end result justified the means. This is better than binge watching an awesome mini-series.

Congratulations - it looks incredible
Good on you!
hey maybe we can get together for coffee sometime?
...after they lift the restraining order, I mean

amazing work and my favorite JM color. Unreal man.

What search terms do you guys have flagged to find abused guitars like this?

"butchered" is a useful keyword - pretty much anything that could relate to guitar nightmares.
"chiseled" "chisel" "amateur job" "hacked" etc.

I would sure like to know what kind of an idiot it would have taken to do that to a Jazzmaster. Certainly not like anyone I have ever known.
