Re: Wadeaminute's Super-Sonic Thread
This is another thing on my long list of things that nobody could give away for years but now are unattainable due to typical cost. Another boarder mentioned having one listed for like $250 in the for sale section for a year or something and I hate myself for missing it

Now that I am thinking about it - the Kauer Banshee eliminates my need for a green-sparkle Super-Sonic.wadeaminute wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 7:19 pmPictures have returned! My website was down for 7 or 8 months, so my pictures disappeared.
No new Super-Sonic news for me, other than Squier releasing new ones in 2020.
In sparkly-guitar-related news, I have had this for almost two years:
Neither of the new colours of Super-Sonic for 2020 do it for me, but if they ever get super cheap and the neck feels right, it might be worth getting one to chop up.
What would be rad is a double-neck Super-Sonic...

Re: Wadeaminute's Super-Sonic Thread
I have made and am selling pickguards for the squire super-sonic 1996-1998 in White, Black and White Pearl. Just listed them on Reverb a few days ago. I could not find a replacement pckguard for my 1997 sparkle blue anywhere. So... having just retired, I had time.
Now that I made them I'll be listing the guitar for sale on Reverb this weekend with all 3 pickguards and a new tweed hard case.
With this SS project out of the way I can get back building my 2 Red Specials. Exact replica's of the Brian May (Queen ) guitar. I'm about 50% done.
Getting back to the Red Special Project next week.

Oh, hello there!terminalvertigo wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2020 2:01 pmyou know that duo sonic is coming home if you want to move it, right?
The Duo-Sonic II is a keeper. If for some reason I ever did want to move it, I will drop you a line first.
That said, it is probably my favourite guitar now (along with the Banshee above).
Also - I have moved to New Brunswick, so it is not in the prairies anymore.
AND I did just replace the pickups with a custom set made for me by Tim McNelly - a P90-style strat-sized "S-Bar" for the bridge, and a compatible, reverse-wound "Nostalgia" neck pickup. So a P-90 and a vintage strat pickup (and humbucking and out-of-phase) without modifying the pickguard. AND it is getting new pots, a fresh orange cap, and a fresh Switchcraft jack.
So if anyone would like a pretty nice set of Bullock Mustang / Duo-Sonic pickups, hit me up.

Re: Wadeaminute's Super-Sonic Thread
Hi! brand new here on the forum, my first post.
I was able to get a supersonic, it's my old one I have a couple of questions, maybe you can help me, I think this is the best place for it.
First the easy stuff I guess, I'm super noob in changing parts, I see that the jack, saddles and tuners are pretty beat up on mine, where can I get the correct parts, something of good quality.
I'm also curious on the info I've found regarding my model, mine says Crafted in Japan and it has a Serial Number that Starts with a V then 6 digits, However, all the info I've found online says that if it has a V serial number is made in japan, but mine doesn't say made in japan, so I'm confused if the info is incorrect or what's going on.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Wadeaminute's Super-Sonic Thread
We have connected on IG, but I wanted to answer your serial number inquiry.
I have five of the older ones. Two of the five have V serial numbers
The silver one - "Made in Japan" (Nov. 1996)
The white one - "Crafted in Japan" (Dec. 1996)
Different words, one month apart.
The other three are two from May 1997 and one from June 1997, all with A serial numbers, all say "Crafted in Japan".
The other thing - the 1996 guitars have special gold stickers commemorating "50 years of excellence" above the serial numbers on the back of the headstocks. The sticker is upside down on my white one.
