That’s the cool thing about silicon fuzzes, they can go anywhere.
You're right, but both the White Atom and the Solar Bender are hybrid Si/Ge fuzzes!

I’ve noticed that a lot of dirt pedals really need to have room to breathe before they really sound good. A few sound good at lower volumes, but most are made to work with the amp working pretty hard. I assume it’s hard to strike a good balance with both in a pedal, depending on the circuit, etc.
Completely agree. That's why, even though I love the sound of the classic fuzzes on recordings, I tend to prefer modern variants of them for my own boards. As good as they sound, I never get to play that loud.

Do you swap amps around when trying out new pedal soup recipes? It’s pretty amazing how different some pedals and combinations sound through different amps.
And you have quite a few small amps...
And just to put a brainworm in your head: I’ve never tried the original Belle Epoch, but I absolutely LOVE the Deluxe.

Oh, totally! I'm going to run that breadboard through my Milkman today, I think.

So how has the amp rotation gone so far? Interesting how different pedals can sound when you change guitars & amps.
Is that Belle Epoch one of the wooden top models? It looks like it. I was going to get one of those on their Karma Suture, but it only comes with the silicon version. I’m a mostly germanium fanboi, although I do like and have a couple of pedals with silicon.
I did get the wooden top versions of some Bogner pedals, they’re beautiful and sound lovely.

Haven't been playing much over the past few years due to work but recently started writing with a new band. Decided to treat myself to a new amp for home practice just before this pandemic hit. The pedals are a DIY boost i built a few years ago and the Boss spring reverb tank pedal.

thanks, it's a bit of a frankenstein, it's a DIY body I bought off someone's parts-stang (with a slab body), a vintage musicmaster neck, and mainly japanese reissue pickups and parts.

I had the house all to myself for an hour today. First time in what feels like a REALLY long time. Anyway, I thought I'd better warm up the Super Reverb. Was not disappointed.

I guess that'll have to do
I'm tempted to give one of those Analogman Cromprossers a go. I love my Analogman chorus and the AC15 seems to really like compression on it.

It's a real nice compressor...it sounds like a lot of the old records. Mine is a V4.
My favourite comp is my Bearfoot Pale Green Compressor, but it is a bit on the tame side for the band I am in at the moment

Ran these dudes in stereo last night. It will probably not be a regular thing.
Treble booster at low enough volume for the rest of the family to sleep is not very satisfying, but otherwise it was good fun.

Agreed - treble boosters need to sing, and the amp as well. Low volume doesn’t let it work well.
Have you tried separate pedalboards for stereo yet?
It could be more satisfying.
I thrive on the combination of different sounds from each amp.
