Mustang Body Repair

Post by droxby » Thu May 07, 2020 8:40 am

Working on fixing this 1965 Mustang body. Someone decided to add some new routes for a mod years ago. I routed the area flat and made a template and then created a patch from a single piece of poplar. I was playing around with tints in the last pic. I'm going to repaint the body to it's original Daphne Blue.

Is the rest of the body poplar too? Looks it to me at least. Hmm, I dunno if I'd personally be arsed fixing the route as it's underneath the pickguard, but I guess knowing is worse than seeing, haha!

same, i don't think it would bother me enough to go through the hassle if it's hidden under the guard but it looks like you've done a good job on it!

Honestly, she/he'll probably sleep better at night now knowing it's restored, haha.
