Pretty major figure in music for a while there. Always seemed like a good man, very talented.
RIP.

Bill Withers has passed.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

Re: Bill Withers has passed.
That sucks. I grew up a huge fan of his, and think ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’ is one of the greatest songs ever written or recorded (so much so, I cringe every time I hear someone covering it). He lived a long, full life which I’m happy for, but it hurts to see him go. We’ve had a rough few years, losing some greats along the way. For me, Bill Withers — though not very prolific in his output — has made a difference in the musical landscape that won’t be forgotten. RIP.
The cool thing about fretless is you can hit a note...and then renegotiate.

I LOVE his music. I saw a doc about him a few years back and he did seem like a super nice dude. My kids know Lovely Day as “the secret life of pets” song from the movie. I try to convince them otherwise, but what do I know?
