Plus for anyone interested both Teenage Snuff Film and Pop Crimes have been re-issued on vinyl and cd.
And Door Door, the Boys Next Door, so basically the first Birthday Party album, is being released as part of this year's record store day (whenever that may be).
I already have the VMP red vinyl of TSF. Still waiting the Mute blue vinyl. I already have 3 copies of Pop Crimes (AU 1st press, AU red vinyl, US press), but I am intrigued by the fact that it’s listed as 2 LP. No extra songs are listed, so I’m kind of wondering why it’s a double LP.

Do you mean TSF or Pop Crimes as a double? TSF is just three sides with the fourth etched, Pop Crimes as far as I'm aware is just a single.

Door, Door is an interesting period piece (1978/9). Also for the fact that the first side is without Rowland, and the second side is after he joined. They started to transform from what was the punk-poppy Boys Next Door pre-Rowland, into the force of nature that the Birthday Party became.

But the Hee Haw EP (1979) while still the Boys Next Door was their first release on which the transition was really clear (re-released in several forms some years later) ...

IIRC they became the Birthday Party at their last gig before departing for London, at the Crystal/Seaview Ballroom in St Kilda in 1980.

Pop Crimes. Bleep lists it as 2xLP:

Interesting, it's only listed as a single here in Australia.
I can imagine that with the bonus songs that were on the CD release it probably should be a double.

A smallish envelope came in today's mail from H. Howard. Looking through the book I can tell you (a) the neck date of the Jag is April 1969, (b) it's completely rewired, new cheap pots on the lead circuit but the originals on the rhythm circuit, and (c) his Twin is a 1972 master volume (tail logo). It's a nice little book but expensive for what it is. I don't mind in the least, it's supporting Harry.

Found it!

It’s about $28 shipped to the US. Not cheap, but worth it for a RSH obsessive like me.

It is shipped by Harry Howard, Rowland‘s brother. You buy it directly from him.
