Squier 2020 line

This same thing happens literally every time they launch something new - they get put up on GC/MF/AMS/everywhere for like an hour, long enough for people to take screen shots and post them on forums/Facebook groups, stuff gets taken down, and zero mention of it at actual NAMM, then like a month later or something it actually gets a rollout. Dunno why they’ve made that their strategy, maybe some kind of goofy gorilla/messy marketing = hip/credibility thing?

I remember it was the same with the American Professionals, American Originals, Player Series, etc. pretty much since I’ve been paying attention at this level, the rollouts are always done like this. It’s weird. I refuse to believe that Fender just happens to release all this stuff on the store sites at the same time only to immediately say WOOPS SORRY TAKE IT BACK DOWN. Just wish I understood why that makes sense to them.

I get what you mean but at least they actually start selling the things instead of just teasing us.
Things have been looking good at Fender for a while and the Squier stuff seems to keep getting better.
Maybe Gibson can get it together half as well in the next few years but really, we are in the golden age of guitars.
You can get some pretty decent inexpensive instruments now that play fine or just need some basic setup or a little work
to make pretty good.
I thank cheap CNC machinery for all that and the top end stuff out there is way beyond what was available in what they
call the "golden years" of classic guitars.

These ones would be available mostly in the EU, but he mentioned that someone contacted Squier and they said the Competitions Bullet Mustangs should be also available in the US in a couple months too.

Are those 2 shell pink and daphne blue models different from the current CV Jaguars?

Have you noticed an improvement in the CV Jaguar range quality lately? (many people previously reported bad frets, bad neck alignment, fret sprout)

Those Jaguars are different only in colour I believe.

I have a CV Jazzmaster I got a couple of months ago and I just got a CV Mustang bass today and both are great with none of the issues that you mention. Out of the box, the JM did have the classic bridge issues though (sinking, rattling) despite it being equipped with Mustang saddles. I had to shim the neck and put loctite in the bridge screws to make it playable; before, the bridge would sink down to the body after 30 mins of playing and the guitar would become a rattly, buzzy mess. Fixing this is not a huge deal if you are aware of these issues but a bit disappointing on a guitar that is probably going to be popular among less experienced guitarists.

I also have a Vintage Modified Mustang from I think 2015 and would say the quality of the new CV models is comparable. The only real differences I notice are the fret size, darker neck tint on the CV (which I personally prefer), and the CVs have laurel fretboards instead of rosewood (not a big deal to me, I think the laurel is quite nice)

I thought the Mustang bridge in the CV Jaguar/Jazz solved the problem of the sinking bridge but that was wrong then. Ok I might have to buy an alternative bridge then.
