I would really love to see a picture of that bass in use, on stage.

I'd actually really want a Jazzmaster with this mod. It's a bit too expensive, and it doesn't seem to be all that well done but yes, I'd rock this.Pacafeliz wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2020 4:44 amOh wow... people STILL do this?!

What are the actual benefits of this mod exactly?Ceylon wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2020 12:01 pmI'd actually really want a Jazzmaster with this mod. Basically it becomes two thirds of a 12-string, doubling the DGBe-strings. An early guitar rock group called the Tielman Brothers did this to their Jazzmasters and because of them it's pretty common to find on (mostly) European vintage pieces.X-Ray Spex wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 5:20 amWhat are the actual benefits of this mod exactly?Ceylon wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2020 12:01 pmI'd actually really want a Jazzmaster with this mod. Honestly I think it's really cool. Strings in courses sound excellent. If I got a vintage JM which that had been done to I'd probably leave it alone. Also- like 'a fender mandolin grafted onto the bass side of a '52 Tele and the whole thing getting covered in rhinestones, it's a cool window into a particular time and scene (though...not in this case as someone has done it to a more recent JM but whatever )

You‘ll never need a chorus pedal again.

So, abandoned house, leaky roof, vintage guitars...

The fret markers from the D'Angelico are poorly put into the 1959 Jazzmaster (which is mostly "fretless").

Still, pretty good finds!
