Post'em Up Offsets with Aluminum Necks
Offset are just the best bodies for Aluminum necks.
The Red on his a Carved Top JM with Alef neck. The Green one is an Electravox Guitar Labs JM with Robot Graves Neck and the Burst mashup has an EGC neck.,

How would you compare the RGI to the Aluminati? I'm still on the fence since I keep getting sidetracked financially. The Robot Graves stuff appeals to me aesthetically (really hung up on the TB/EGC look), but I do think the Aluminati specs seem better on paper. Was thinking of getting an EGC at first but I've heard bad things from a bunch of touring bands about the consistency of their service.

These all feel different and these are all solid aluminum. I think they are all really well made can't go wrong there, seriously they are all high end pieces. I like the feel of the Alef the best it's soft D/C shape. The Aluminati not pictured here is hollow and has a fretboard and they do feel more normal and is much lighter about the same as a wood neck, they are my favorite though I really like the solid necks as well.loveinathens wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2020 7:41 pmHow would you compare the RGI to the Aluminati? Sorry I keep spamming you with questions. Do you have measurements for the Robot Graves neck? Like, how thick is it across the neck and what shape?

No problem there is not a lot of info available. All these necks are relatively thin, I don't have measurements but it's a thin D shape and I would say a smooth but aggressive D shape. The Alef is in between kind off a C/D shape also really smooth and the EGC is more of a thin Fender C shape.loveinathens wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 8:02 pmSorry I keep spamming you with questions. Those are some gorgeous necks. Which one has the least "shoulder" to it? Do any have a V to them? I like a smooth round C with no D or V shoulders or peaks, respectively.

I hope it's nothing like an Ibanez Edge neck. I can deal with D shapes, but nothing like a real shredder as I'm used to either Fenders or my Dan Armstrong copy.

The Electrical Guitar company is the most C shaped of this group still relatively thin but feels more fender than shredder. The Aluminati not pictured is also round and in-between Fender and Gibson. Feels like a slightly fatter wider Fender neck.

I feel ya on this, I like trying different shapes and radius they have their advantages especially with chords. I have grown to appreciate both thick and thin necks too usually with flatter radius. The Robot graves is the most like this shredder with a D shape it's smooth though but its a D. I really like the feel of the Alef its smooth and feels fast and is in between D/C shape. Aluminati or EGC is the most "normal feeling neck" aluminum neck I have tried.loveinathens wrote: ↑Thu Feb 13, 2020 8:21 pmI hope it's nothing like an Ibanez Edge neck.
