Any of you guys who've got a physical/hardware synth or two, what do you use to cover it and protect it from dust? I bought the smallest fitted sheet I could, but it's not really doing the trick. Moog doesn't currently sell a dust cover that fits the Matriarch, but I'd love to have something more solid and that fits better than a $5 bed sheet.

Well, that's easy. Get an old flat sheet from goodwill, sew up corners as it drapes over keyboard, trim excess. That's the really brute force method, but if you think of it as an "open box" without a lid, you cut the shape it would need (you can mark that right onto the fabric) plus 1/2 an inch for seam allowance and however much you want to give it for a hem around the bottom. Super simple.
This is an excellent rectangle

If only you knew of a woodworker who can build a case with a lid for it...

Or you can use my Synthlord Wizard cape when I'm not using it?

We just bought the sewing machine. I don't know how to sew, but that's a pretty good idea. I may have to look into that.

I like the idea, but I would definitely prefer a soft cover. If I wanted to enclose it, that would be pretty simple. Probably nice looking too!! I'll be making a desk for the synth stuff though, so I don't want it to be too heavy. Hahaha.

Needs more MiniMoog.

I'm listening to the new record of friends and there's the MS-20 all over the place. I'm again really impressed how distinguish sounding and recognizable that thing is. Now all of a sudden I realized what Korg should do: we need a digitally controlled analog MS-20 with presets. Replace the pots with encoders with LED rings and the patch area with a matrix like in the Arturia Matrixbrute and put it all in a sturdy metal box with full size keys. Voila: MS-20 preset edition. I bet it would sell like hot cakes. Especially if they incorporate the sequencer from the minilogue xd.

The MS-20 is a really great synth. I think particularly with the early, dirtier filter (though I don't know if I've ever played one, to be honest).

I saw Arcade Fire awhile back and the keyboard player had two setup side by side and the synths were sounding amazing that night. Really great sounds!

Yeh the MS-20 is in my greatest ever synths list...you do so much with it and everything sounds good, because the tone is there right away.

I love the MS-20 so much. If I could have that and a MiniMoog sitting next to each other in my studio, I’d be one happy dood.

BLARGH!

I'm losing sleep thinking about which ferrari I need to get.

clearly I should just go fork all my money over to behringer for one synth or another. PolyBoog, here I come :fp:
