Here's a beauty I stumbled across a couple of years ago when researching a JM build. Warmoth body + Fender neck:

Re: Maple Neck Fender Jazzmaster?
Hello!
Here's a video of the guitar in action:

To those who had pm me: sorry! I just saw your messages! But I'm not selling it for now.
It has been refretted and now it's a great guitar and a joy to play
Hope you like the little video I've made. It was strung with black nylon strings.
Regards

Re: Maple Neck Fender Jazzmaster?
This is a parts guitar I built up years ago and still have. It's an original finish 1965 body; pickguard, pickups, and tailpiece are from a pat pend era guitar (black bobbins); and the neck is a vintage 3-bolt microtilt that I had plugged and redrilled for a 4-bolt body.
I go back and forth on whether or not I actually like the maple neck with the burst; I think in the end something about it just looks off. I'm always looking for a vintage neck to pair with the body, if anyone's holding.

I’ve had a real change of heart when it comes to maple boards in recent years. I even have JM with one now (with lipstick pickups).
When I think of the classic JM look and sound though it’s still rosewood board/alder body.
