Well, I mean... if he can't get Fugazi to play his stadium... these guys might be available.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIZD9WFpWZo
I mean... it's practically the same thing. And entirely more sports/stadium-friendly.

Re: Fugazi Appreciation Thread
I'm going to be honest... beyond the initial cringe and belaboured groan, there's a part of me that kind of likes that these young kids are like "oh, what's that old man? That meant whaaaaat to you? Well that means shit to us! WE'RE DOING THIS NOW!", hahahahahahahahaha
I'm seeing that start to emerge in my kids now and I have to respect it. They do not give a shit about what was "cool", "waaay back when". It's what's now. And if they do like something from our time - it's theirs now and they're gonna do whatever they want with it. I remember being there. It's probably more honest and "punk" than a lot of the blue hair, hoppy-poppy, checker belt, Vans Tour "punk" band covers I've seen.
Still though

Now when I hear Guy singing, it’s going to be four teenage girls in my head.

Re: Fugazi Appreciation Thread
I know it's been mentioned, but this was a very inspiring read: https://consequenceofsound.net/2018/11/ ... -dischord/
I really hope I (and the collective 'we') get a chance to hear this. To see it would be better, but I know chances are slim.

Looks like we'll be hearing it! The single is fantastic. Splits the diff between The Evens and some of the stuff on The Argument IMO.

That’s cool.
True.....kids do not want to hear some old mother fers telling them what was cool back In the day.....

Re: Fugazi Appreciation Thread
I’ve seen them live twice now. They are really good. My only complaint is that Ian was using a pretty small amp, and the guitar was not loud enough. I was hoping they would beef up the guitars in the studio, but if the preview track is anything to go by, they didn’t. Oh well, it’s still a solid song.OmarAfzaal wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2020 6:16 pmhttps://coriky.bandcamp.com/album/coriky

Re: Fugazi Appreciation Thread
The Punk documentary series (2019) that was EP'd by Iggy Pop is being shown here at the moment.
Part 1 was Stooges/MC5 to NY Dolls and early 76/77 CBGBs bands, Ramones/Blondie/etc.
Part 2 was UK 76 to 78, ending with Sex Pistols going to the States - the deaths of Sid and Nancy.
Part 3 looks like it's the 80s US hardcore scene and it looks like MacKaye features a lot.
