I'm bookmarking this page, so that in case anyone ever tells me that 7 guitars and a bass is too many. I have at least 5 more electrics plus a bass VI that I need to get. And what a modest collection that will be!

It is a slippery slope for sure. I remember a ways back thinking, "Crap I might have thirty guitars... That is insane!"s_mcsleazy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 8:27 amsomething tells me this is what my flat is going to look like if i keep going at the rate i am

Future obituary: HNB found dead under piles of guitars. Earthquake in the area destabilized a stack of guitar cases and ended in tragedy.

O.....K.....
When you said there were to many to fit in a single picture, I assumed it was a hyperbole caused by guitar shaming (yeah, that's being studied at the moment ) by family member, but damn, you meant it
What's the project-to-store-bought ratio here? I see some cool stuff in there!
I tend to panic and give away or lend most of my guitars to friends every time my dedicated guitar space (which I just measured at 27 1/2" long) between the wall and my test amp gets full, but then I live in a 640 sqft flat with my wife and cat I'll do a family picture if I ever have'm all in here again.

Re: Post pics of your guitar family
I figure most of mine are probably custom made or partscasters nowadays. I have a few MJT builds and such. Several custom Jagstangs are upstairs along with some Univox and Airline style stuff. I like to mod so very few of anything I have is stock.

Re: Post pics of your guitar family
Just a small family for now - but both are essentially "offsets" - a 2018 Fender American Performer Mustang (ordered sight unseen from Guitar Center last December when they were introduced; lucked into a good one) and a 2018 PRS S2 Vela (based on the S/N; it's new and I picked it up last summer - I guess it had been in GC's warehouse until the local store got it in stock about 2 weeks before I bought it):

Re: Post pics of your guitar family
This is clearly not the most effective way to photograph guitars; nor the most efficient, as I started worrying about them toppling over each other (they're offsets) so split the photos into a few groups of the ones I have on-site.

Re: Post pics of your guitar family
Haha - It's a 2012 Soloist SLX, made in India. Maybe five years ago I only had offsets/single coil guitars, and had a moment where I sort of wondered what it would be like to play a guitar with 24 frets and 'normal' appointments (never mind the color - although the color is pretty much the reason I bought *this* one.) Basically a 'no-excuses' sort of guitar to help me re-learn how to play after a long period of not playing, without focusing too much on wondering whether things like fretboard radius, small frets or even a neck heel etc. getting in the way.
Well - Five years later you could observe it's *still* my only guitar on-hand that has Gibson/PAF style humbuckers and I didn't really delve into the style much further (though I keep a G&L Tribute with humbuckers at my mom's house.) The offsets multiplied since then I did learn a lot playing the Soloist and still pull it out from time to time, though ideally it could do with replacement of the cheap Floyd Special where I have to re-file the pivots every year. Also not a huge fan of the JB-copy bridge pickup, though the Duncan Designed Jazz copy in the neck is pretty nice. Overall a very well made, good looking, good playing guitar though so I'm in no mood to get rid of it.

I do have that still. I had the original builder add the neck pickup and toggle it was routed for. Just came back in a week ago.
