Don't know anything about them, but I read a couple reviews. Those were positive.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

I guess my question is what are you thinking to use this microphone for, exactly?

I guess when I’m ready to buy one for that price, it might be better to stick with something more traditional for a specific purpose (?).

Sure, it's probably a very good microphone. But depending on your use, maybe a large diaphragm condenser might not be the strongest choice. But, it would probably be a great microphone.
Maybe look into Warm Audio at that price range, also.
My only LCD is an Audio-Technica AT4050, and it's a good microphone. I could imagine liking a microphone more, but it's solid.
