Oh yeah! I forgot about that. And I used to have one of those bridges too
Ha ha.
Well It's a cool design. I'm not a huge fan of the staggered holes though because I will have to redrill some of them to correct it for a Lefty.

VERY nice!! Do you have a traditional-style XII string anchor for the back, or are you doing something different?
Also, unrelated to this build. I have been reverse engineering some of the hardware while I can.
They are up on my shapeways store.

Very interested in this!
Have you made any, so we can see how they turn out?

I've had other bridge plates made by shapeways but not the XII one.
The material finish can vary slightly. This one came out kinda rough but others I have had made are quite smooth, almost shiny.
Also worth noting, the scaling is sometimes slightly off. Where screw holes don't quite line up etc. It's not been a huge problem though.

Fantastic! I'll be purchasing one of the string retainers in the coming weeks for my Jazzmaster Deluxe XII build.

I just found this thread. Beautiful work. I like it a lot. That wood has a nice grain pattern, too.

I should stop watching your threads, my jaw can't stay put and the drooling is unbearable.

That's beautiful. I don't generally like binding but it really works on that one.

i like that string through ferrule plate. A bit of polishing and you have a beautiful item. How close to a mirror finish can you get with that material?

I don't know. I don't really have the right gear to polish it properly. I reckon it can get pretty shiny though, as shiny as you can polish aluminum.

That's pretty cool. Polish it and if you need more gleam, plate it.
