NGD: Squier Bullet Tele FSR red sparkle
yeah I know...
But I'd been obsessing about it ever since I saw it a few months ago when I went to MusicStore to check out the new Squier Jags. They were soon sold out there, too and then I kept reading about what a bargain they were...
So now I just got informed that I'll be getting a raise next month... and I went to MusicStore to get some strings.
And there it was, still. The floor model. Very badly set up as everything else in that place.
I asked the clerk if they had more in storage and he said nope.
So I said, could I take this one? And, since it's the demo model, is there a discount?
I wasn't gonna pay the €174 for it.
He checked, saw that I'm a kinda regular customer and slapped a €150 sticker on it.
Deal.
So with a bit of truss rod twisting and so, it's just a fantastic guitar!
I'll want to stain that bone-white neck, though.
It sounds and plays amazingly good. And the color is just über yummy!!!
Played it in the hammock all day yesterday.
...I wonder how my bamdmates will react.

That's a great finish, and can't argue with the price. Congrats.

Demo model? LOL. Floor models are the only thing available around here. I swear if you buy new from a local music store it's used.
Anyway, happy new guitar day.

I like(d) that these aren’t (weren’t) top-loading.

I love that finish. one cannot go wrong with red sparkle. Looks way more expensive than the cheapest possible fender/squier.
Also i do not think the bridge top loading. Looks string through to me.
At least i remember bullet tele's being string through years ago.

Right - That's what I meant, which is why it's a shame the Bullets seemed to have disappeared. Affinities are top-loaders, yet the Bullets were string-through which puzzled me a bit.

Yep it is string thru. I wouldn't have bought a top-loader

Oh wow putting on decent strings was a 110% improvement!!! It came with those whimsy old 9ers on.
Now it's fresh 10ers and it SINGS!!!

Aah this other (Squier Affinity) all maple neck feels and looks MUCH better.
It wasn't a 100% match somehow (screwholes) but who cares.
NOW I can and WILL use it. A lot.

I love the red sparkle finish! The Bullet Teles are impressive for the price. I think yours looks good with both the original rosewood board neck and the all maple neck. You can't really go wrong!
I have one of the surf green ones and the neck is surprisingly thick--not at all like the thin necks I've had on most other Squiers I've owned. I couldn't handle the stark white neck with basically no finish, so I sanded it down a refinished it in Tru Oil. I also added a mint green pickguard. I have to admit the slightly thinner body feels off to me, probably because I've been playing Telecasters for ages with the standard thickness body. I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Oh gosh this looks nice too. Perfect, in fact!
Yes the slim body feels unusual but i like it for a change

Looks amazing! I've got a bullet Strat that's become my main gigging guitar, so I can't see any reason this wouldn't perfectly fit the bill.

Inspired by this thread I've just gone and bought one of these.
Couldn't resist for £139! Not sure how I'll get on with the Maple fretboard, but for the money it was worth a punt.
