Fabric Top JM-Style build with a soul for Rock and Fuzz
.
I just completed this build. Body started out as a scrap lumber blank to set up my desktop CNC, but as I messed around with it I decided to use it as a prototype platform so I added the fabric top.

The fabric has a little glitter thread running through it. I hand routed a binding channel that I put in strips of flame maple binding. The binding was mostly a fiasco of cracking at the flame due to inconsistent thicknessing (hand plane catching on the swirling grain) causing kinks when steam binding it to shape, had to fix some segments with splices. Next time I'll use the plastic binding.
It only has a humbucker with Volume and Tone. Neck is from another guitar, for now, I'm working on cutting a final one for it from scratch.
Pickguard is hardboard stained with Minwax 'true black' stain then a single coat of shellac over it. Guitar body has hand applied poly and shellac, many layers to sink the fabric under it. I wanted to complete the guitar rather than spend a week level sanding and polishing the finish, I can always do that later. Made an interim/permanent cover for the trem hole.

W O W.
It has a sort of "medieval/noble Lady outfit for high ceremony" vibe that is outragiously cool.
(it's most probably not the best wording but I intend it as a compliment.)
Please, put the same fabric on the heastock with some copper decal... it's gonna be mindblowing

Really nice, and the hand-finished vibe really seems to suit it too. I'd love to see how it would look with a matching headstock.

REally gives those paisley JMs a run for their money. Gorgeous.
