I know you were all anxiously awaiting an update about this, but I found a strap. I wanted something that contrasted with the dadrock vibe of the guitar and found this cool Marimekko-style fabric thing on the Mother Mary clearance page on Reverb.
I think it fits the handmade theme of the guitar nicely. The leather tabs are super heavy. I really had to wrestle it on.

Nice. A contrast it is. Congrats on the completion.

Another quick clip. I wrote the main part first and it stands up ok on its own live, but I want to put some acoustic under it for our recording. I looped it while I figured out the chord voicings I wanted, then looped the chords once I got a handle on them and re-played the part.

That looks great.
Also, your "very slow" build thread has come together in the amount of time that like three of my projects have sat untouched

Thanks. It came together faster than I expected. I’ve had bicycle builds that have taken a year +, so that’s what I’m used to.

Been playing this more and more lately. Finally fixed the bridge setup. The saddles were set too high and as a result there was not enough thread engagement and they kept walking down. Raised the bridge up on the posts and dropped the saddles and it's been stable ever since.
This guitar will be 2 this summer and it's starting to wear in a bit. I might do a little more work on it when I start putting my next project together.
Here's a current picture with some feathers and dog hair.
