NGD: American Original 60's Jazz Bass CAR
My “Jazz trilogy” is complete! Replaced my Squier VI with a 4 Stringer...more usable in my studio and I needed more low end. The VI is great but playing it against my two American Jazzmasters...the quality does not hold up by comparison for me (I'm spoiled now). My OA Jazzmaster is so perfect and I knew the Jazz Bass in the series would be just as good. It is incredible! The quality in this series is just mind blowing to me. I’m loving this new Fender stuff. Seriously the best Fender products I’ve ever played.
I’ll put up a lengthier review later...first let me try to post some photos....

btw, if anyone is interested in my White VI it's on Reverb/eBay still. Staytrem, Gig Bag...

Gorgeous. I love the neck on a jazz bass more than any other model. I love how it widens out towards the body and is a tad narrow at the nut. Feels like how a bass neck should feel.

Totally agree! I'm a guitar player mostly, but with the neck and action on this thing I can fly! I feel right at home. Definitely need to sharpen my bass skills but this makes it easy.BoringPostcards wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2019 8:15 pmGorgeous. I love the neck on a jazz bass more than any other model. Yeah, they are great sounding basses for recording, they add a great bottom end that is more heard than simply felt. Nice looking bass!
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

Wow! That is nice! I’m in the bass market right now and this particular and color combination model is calling to me. I hear that the neck on these, while thin at the nut, also has some chunk as you approach the 12th fret. I like that in a bass neck! Enjoy it!

I’ve been wanting a CAR Fender with tort guard for so long. When I decided I wanted a Jazz bass I saw this model and had to get it. It had everything I was looking for plus my American Original Jazzmaster is outstanding. The aged clay dots are a beautiful touch! Highly recommend this. The neck is so perfect and fun to play on.wproffitt wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 7:45 amWow! That is nice!
