Re: Goth music for yoga. Yep....
Holy shit! That list is loooonnnng!! Thanks!
I'll give those tracks a listen right now.
This is where I'm at so far...
Dead Can Dance - Host Of Seraphim 6:19
Depeche Mode - Agent Orange 5:07
The Banshees - Red Light 3:33
Joy Division - Exercise One 3:11
The KVB - Violet Noon 4:30
Red Temple Spirits - Dive In Deep 4:06
Tales Of Murder & Dust - On my Mind 2:33
Dead Can Dance - Opium 5:45
Forest Swords - Crow 3:37
This Mortal Coil - Ivy & Neet 4:49
The Cure - Plainsong 5:20
TR/ST - Cand Walls 4:40
Bauhaus - Hollow Hills 4:49
Tales Of Murder & Dust - When SheTakes A Hold 4:07
Sisters Of Mercy - Colours 7.27
Cocteau Twins - Otterley 4:06
Bauhaus - The Three Shadows - Part One 4:24
Blue Angel Lounge - Secure Existence 3:11
The Doors - The End (fading midway through) 6:00 approx
In no particular order. The Mode & Mr Morrison are present too but you've got to please the masses (and I'm afraid I love that Doors song).
The track by Forest Swords (or are they called Crow) was a bit of filler I stumbled upon. It could all completely change...
No fancy links but I'm sure many of you will recognise most of the above.

I've not had to listen to Sisters Of Mercy since I was about 19. Man, that was tough!!!

Current 93's "Sleep has his house" had very nice harmonium parts, drone-like sounds and soft guitar strumming. If David Tibet's voice doesn't annoy you, that could be something for your list.

I never looked at any of the vids. Her new elpee Penelope Two is really excellent and she's done a film for the whole of it where she is similarly in the buff throughout. She also trades as The Golden Filter.PorkyPrimeCut wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2019 4:34 amWoah there!

Oh, seeing The Cure in the above list made me think of If Only Tonight We Could Sleep, a peaceful track based on a sitar riff.

Forest Swords. I seem to remeber you liking Visits by them or Rattling Cage or The Weight of Gold.PorkyPrimeCut wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2019 4:09 am

Lady S's yoga teacher plays Forest Swords during classes after she bought her Engravings as a gift and ended up totally getting into him. Last time I picked her up they were playing Arms Out.
All not goth in any way whatsoever but a good artist.

I've enjoyed wading through that list. Much appreciated, David. It must've taken you a while.
To be honest there's a load on there I could easily use - the typical female vocal, rousing orchestral/synth type stuff. Very, very useable.
I actually liked a load of the...how do I put this?....not so easy on the ear stuff. Quite inspiring & this whole thing is making me wonder if there's actually something in this yoga to dark music business. There are enough of that sort around her, for sure.
I've probably got well over two 90 minute playlists now so thanks, everyone.

Re: Goth music for yoga. Yep....
I'm tempted to add We Will Fall by the stooges, as a joke.
Or Afterhours by the Sisters.
Perfect music for the way I do yoga, anyway.

You know, I've actually already got that Stooges song on another yoga playlist that's half done. Not for goths, just my regular classFrankRay wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2019 6:09 amI'm tempted to add We Will Fall by the stooges, as a joke.

That long Sisters track is giving me a dilemma now as it's equally as suitable as the others I have to choose from. Thanks.

Mid to later period Einstürzende Neubauten (e.g. Sabrina, Stella Maris) would probably go down well
Looking forward to heading out there... Will be my first visit to Leipzig...
