Cheap delay pedal options?
What's up.
I'm thinking of adding one more delay pedal to my board. Don't want anything fancy, though.
I know we have to be careful with dealy pedals but I usually don't get too crazy with them
I've been looking into:
Behringer Digital delay (Because the circuit is basically the one of a dd-3)
Digitech Digidelay
There's also this cheapo I saw called Pockecho by Ammoon
Any experience with any of those? Other recommendations?

Re: Cheap delay pedal suggestions?
Go analog, especially if you don't wanna go to too crazy with delay anyway. Many people seem to love the Ibanez AD Mini. Not totally cheap but for sure a fair price.

I'll check this one out! But I'm leaning towards digital because they're usually more crispy sounding... Also the "helicopter" thingy (does that count as getting crazy?)

Just bought the Caline Blue Ocean, supposed to be a clone of the Mad Professor Deep Blue ...

Re: Cheap delay pedal options?
If you can find one i can highly recommend a Boss RDD-10. You'd have to use a footswitch with it as it's a 1980's mini-rackmount style unit, but thanks to the modulation controls you can get really interesting options with pitch altered delays. Plus it can be used as a chorus, phaser and/or delay. And the best part is that hardly anyone has ever heard of them so you can usually pick them up really cheap!

I like my DigiDelay. All the modes sound good. It's a bit noisy on the power supply, though.
If you want something super cheap and simple the TC Electronic Prophet might be of interest to you.

If you insist on going cheap and digital, the Danelectro PB & J Delay is as good as it gets. Otherwise, I would recommend a good analog pedal like a Boss DM-2W.

+1 for the DE7. I'd also suggest to see if you can find a used Boss DD7.
I was never a tap-tempo kind of guy, but ever since getting a DD7, i can't live without it. It doesn't hurt that it has reverse and a built-in looper...

Re: Cheap delay pedal options?
Thank you all. I decided to go with the DigiTech Digidelay.
Couldn't find some of the options you guys mentioned here in Brazil.
I was curious about the DE7 but couldn't find a decent one for a fair price. They were pretty beat up
I was tempted to get the DD3 or DD7. But if I was to choose a Boss one it had to be the DD-7 and it was a little out of my price range.
I'll see if I like the DigiTech though. I'll know if I really need a separate tap tempo or even a separate looper. If I do then I'll put the money on a better delay pedal

Alien, the Caline is a great pedal. Actually I have early Ibanez, but Joyo suprised me positively. Take a look on the tube or to their site.
Super pedals and for ridiculous prices.

Re: Cheap delay pedal options?
I've mucked around with cheaper delays and seriously they are a time sucking waste of money, they all sound cheap/awful. Save up and just get a proper delay, the DD7 is amazing, with an external tap tempo it is a game ender when it comes to digital delay.
If OSG has tort me anything...
