That would be so good. Seeing as I don't have a background with piano, I've always wanted something with that arpeggiator like the Juno-6.

It's certainly useful! The Arturia Keystep has that option as well and it's great.

I emailed Moog and both of my questions were answered. The hold button is for the arpeggiator and seems to run very similar to the arpeggiator hold button on a Juno-6 (which I also found here. With the 4 oscillators in monophonic mode, and with the filter being the classic Moog ladder filter (as well as a number of sections on the Matriarch that are also based on the System 55), it seems like it should be able to do MiniMoog Model D sounds quite easily. I'm sold. I'm gonna start saving up for one ;D 8)

I wonder if that detuning was intentional or if it has a difficult time staying in-tune?

Yeah, no. That didn’t sound like a healthy synth.
The cool thing about fretless is you can hit a note...and then renegotiate.

The Matriarch at Moogfest that I posted?

Yes. I assume they’re demoing preproduction units, and that one sounded like it was either detuned without him realizing it, or something was wrong with its innards.

I thought that's what you meant. I'm not used to synths enough to recognize it being out of tune just yet.

Pretty psyched to see what Behringer does with their "clone" of the old CS-80.

I wonder if Yamaha is going to make theirs as enormous and enormously expensive as a real one.

Looks amazing. And complicated. I was hoping they'd do a bit of a Deckard's Dream kind of thing instead, but cool regardless!

It sounds good, but out of tune for sure.

I would really love it if they made a version of their model D that was polyphonic. I really think they'd be heroes of they expanded, rather than just reproduced, other people's stuff at affordable prices.

You know, for the price of a Matriarch, you could buy enough model Ds and make a paraphonic synth...

Pretty sure that dragging around 6 racked model D modules and a midi controller is not as easy as putting my Prophet in a bag.

All I really want is someone to make something that works like my Prophet, and sounds like a Moog. Again, something Behringer could be doing that would make the world hail them as heroes.
