It's complicated.
The manual is too wordy.
All the shiny knobs and cool lights are distracting.
And a real, true killer sometimes:
THEY ALL HAVE TO BE FIRST IN THE CHAIN!
Buncha germanium prima donnas...

I can't find the sweet spot.
"The sweep is too violent. It gives me motion-sickness." *
It sucks tone like an aural black hole.
Is that a B-b-b-behringer?!?!
* I actually heard this at Long & McQuade from some dude trying out an MXR Micro Flanger.

It has a noisy fucking switch.
It has relay-based switching that’s quiet but doesn’t work consistently.
Ugggggggh.

Re: i can't use this pedal because...
...overall delay time is too long which makes it hard to dial in a good short one (that's a real problem)

The Behringer Vintage Time Machine and Vintage Tube Overdrive are good pedals in ugly case designs. And even some of the cheap plastic pedals are simply cheap copies of classic circuits, with decent build quality. Behringer’s image is worse than the actual quality of their products...
I recently noticed that I have one pedal on my board which I never use: a tremolo. I don’t know what to do with that in my music...

I'm A-OK with Behringers. I have several with my favourites being the Vintage Distortion, RV600 Reverb Machine, and the VD400 Analog Delay which is an amazing pedal for $25. I used it as a replacement for my Ibanez AD-80 when it was in for repairs. It did the job admirably.

...after paying $500 I discovered simply couldn't dial in a setting that I liked. So it went back.
Has happened to me once.
Some pedals aren't for everyone and while I will not divulge which boutique handmade pedal it was, the reality is that is was me and not the pedal.
Others have the pedal and I am sure they are happy with it.
I'd rather face the reality that I cannot come to terms with a device because of me, than blame the device.

Its a clone.
It won't fit my colour scheme on insta.
Strymon is for midlife crisis. Post-rock version of blues lawyers.
Its a multi-fx.
Its digital.
Its too complicated (anything with screen or more than 2 knobs)
Its always better to use amp distortion
No tap tempo (like wtf no.)
