Eko 350 Schematics

Post by sts » Thu May 02, 2019 11:09 pm

Hello,
I recently got hold of an EKO 350 guitar (at least I think that this is the model) which I decided worths getting restored.

The problem I came up with is that all the wiring is destroyed (has no wiring at all) so I cannot figure out how the schematics for the 4 button pickup selector system should be..

Here is a close up of the switch

Is anyone familiar with these sort of selector switches and their wiring?
Thank you in advance

Your pics don't display. Load them to imgur or similar.

Looking at online pics, the rest of the wiring can't be too complex ... 2 pickups, 1 volume, 1 tone (?) ...

Finding a schematic could be difficult, so you may just have to work it out. Do you know what all the functions of the switch are ? ... Pickup 1, pickup 2, both in parallel, 4th position ? Series ?

I believe that they are now visible?

About the wiring I believe it should be something like:
  • Bridge(hot) @ Switch Tip 1
  • Neck(hot) @ Switch Tip 2
  • Switch Tip 3(out) @ Volume pot(in) @ Tone pot
  • Volume pot(out) @ Jack
  • And everything else Grounded :
    Bridge(GND),Neck(GND),Switch(GND),Volume(GND),Tone(GND), Jack(GND)
but this doesn't exactly apply to a 4 button switch

I don't know the button functions..Maybe something like:
  • button 1: neck pickup
  • button 2: bridge pickup
  • button 0 : both ?? phase reverse ??
  • button M : killswitch ??
but this is just a guess :fp:
I really have no clue.

I've also found some pics online using capacitors and resistances on the tips, something like treble bleed wiring

I have a four pickup/six button Eko/Galanti p/u and switch set. I can post you some pics of the wiring that still exists . . . I am going to have to redo it all.

Here's a link to some pics of my four pickup/six button switch setup . . . you can see that there are four contacts at the end of the switch deck. Pressing the different buttons creates contacts with different combinations of the pickups. I am assuming that the signal goes from there to the tone and control pots and then to the output jack.
