This is a fairly representative example of Desert Sand, in my experience:

I'm by no means an expert but I went down the Musicmaster wormhole when I had a super early one with the black scratchplate a few years ago and seem to remember Jim Shine saying the colour on those early sixties ones was either 'beige' or they didn't give it a particular name...surely 'desert sand' is significantly lighter, as seen on the 56-59 examples?

Hm, you may be right!

But I still feel it's rather unlikely that the OP is a Desert Sand jag.

Hey Guys! Sorry I haven't posted anything in a hot minute, found myself busy for a few days.
and øøøøøøø, I won't be able to take the neck off tell the weekend, Just don't have the time to do it carefully.
However I did take a large number of pictures. I took them In what I thought was good lighting, but let me know if theirs anything I could to to make it better:

Here's one close on the body.

Heres one on one of the more worn spots

And here's one of super preserved clean spot

Heres a picture of the neck to show just how much it slims down

and here's a picture of it next to a Olympic white jazzmater (Note it has not clear coat, Early 60's Refin)

And I've been thinking, It looks a lot of checking and yellowing, but is it 25 years worth (In a dry environment, staying a relatively same temperature day to night)? Because I wouldn't think that would all be there if the original color had been blasted through.
But like I said i'm not an expert on guitar paints so thats just my speculation

It is really, really, really hard to say for sure!

Very curious to see the neck date, when the time comes.

Could it be a blond-over-ash? I still won't rule out Olympic White...

Could it be a rare Desert Sand? Maybe. I've never seen one before. That still seems like the least-likely scenario to me.

Really, really, hard to say. I wish there were like a super bright light. Something about the white balance in the photos seems weird, to me, so it's hard to get a real good handle on what I'm seeing.

I think some of the pictures got a red hue, it might have been the camera so I’ll see what I can do. Sadly I don’t have any sort of fancy camera nore can I take any picture tell later tonight
Would blonde over ash be see through? I kind of thought it was too greyish, what do you think?

So I took a picture of the guitar with the flash on and...

Looks a lot different. So I decided, using the pickups as a color guide to look at some blond guitars
https://imgur.com/Z2Kq4Ma
I would say its damn close.
Its not quite blonde.
I'm going to try and figure out if its ash or alder this weekend when I take off the neck settle it there.

Not really. Blond is sometimes rather translucent (especially in the 50s), but often this is quite subtle (especially later), and eventually it's basically opaque.

Starting in roughly 1960, the blond finishes got MUCH more opaque-seeming, with less wood grain showing through. My '68 Tele, for instance, basically just looks like an opaque color... I can't see any wood grain anywhere.

In your case, with the finish so thin in many places, it becomes really unclear in a photo whether it could be blonde or not. The clearest sign would be if you can identify whether the wood is ash. If it's ash, it's not a definite that it was originally blonde, but it's a really good clue. I've seen opaque Fender finishes over ash, but they're almost always Alder. And blond is only ever seen on ash (I've yet to encounter a single exception).

I've even heard of a few supposedly-original mahogany stratocasters, almost all from 1964 (this kind of thing is the ONLY reason I won't definitively rule out a Desert Sand on a jag... Fender was nothing if not full of contradictions!).
