Vintage style Jazzmaster and non-master Super Reverb with CTS Alnico speakers plus a looper pedal for me. Currently its my AVRI62 JM and 74 SFSR. A couple of my Strats are close, as is my Gretsch 6119 Tennessee Rose, but there's something special about a classic Jazzmaster sound that just does it for me.

Just checked my old answer to this question, it hasn’t changed much.

Jazzmaster (same one I had in 2015)
Rockett Archer Ikon (replaced the Soul Food)
Princeton Reverb (replaced the Vibrolux Reverb)
Pretty hard to go wrong with this.

My answer has changed a few years on:

Guitar: Johnny Marr Jag
Pedal: Mythos Golden Fleece
Amp: Toss up: 65 DRRI or 68 PRRI (probably the DRRI since I get two voices in the channels

That's what I'm currently using in my living room! :-*

Indonesian Squier Strat with upgraded pickups and electronics taken from a Chinese Strat.

Snarling Dogs wah with matching Vibram shoes

Hot Rod deluxe with the volume at 2. Which still should be plenty to get most people evicted.

For years I would have said vintage Jazzmaster > Deluxe Memory Man > Vox AC-30, but lately my ‘61 Telecaster with PAF in the neck into a vintage Vox or Tweed Bassman has been enough. I would still keep the DMM in the chain unless a Space Echo counts as a pedal.

Telecaster > DMM > AC-30

My first apartment was behind a real estate business that rented from a different realator. My twin reverb reissue with a factory 15” speaker combined with my consistent scent of potent herb got me evicted within half a year. The property managers were cool though and hooked me up with a different spot.

For me it's simple - it's always been a variation of this ... all that's changed has been the specific variation of each ingredient ... the ingredients have always been the same:

Jazzmaster > Klon or Klone > Small Fender Amp

Right now that equates to

'62 Jazzmaster > Silver box Klon > SF Princeton Reverb

It's taken me years to refine it to what it is now - both in terms of needlessly trying other things to bring me back around to what everyone told me at the outset would be what I needed, but also in terms of working my way up to having the stuff I have now.

Operation House has required the sacrifice of a lot of my gear - but those three things above will remain constant.
