Primer time!

Despite my best efforts, I'm anticipating some funky finish cracks. Hopefully they'll add character!

I'm going to write a warning underneath the finish in the routs, in case this thing gets sold down the line
You should notch out a little spot in the new wood and stash a USB stick with all the pictures from the restoration :D

In all seriousness... did you manage to preserve the body date that was pictured under the bridge pickup?

-the body date and the bottom of the neck pocket have been masked off - I'm going to write a little message saying that the body is 81% original and a link to this thread next to the body date, to let future guitar archaeologists know what's up.

As-yet-ungreened Lake Placid Blue is going on.

I used some thinned Elmer's Wood filler as a grain sealer (regular grain sealer always seems to wipe right away when I try it!) And BIN white shellac sealer as a primer.

It's seeming to do a good job of hiding the repairs so far!!

Probably in poor taste, but can I call dibs if you end up not liking it? :D
