In the constant search for the ultimate overdrive, I stumbled upon this nano marvel from EHX.
I've heard the big box version (the one without the actual tube), is it any different from the nano? i.e. the big box Holy Grails and the nano Holy Grail.
Any Hot Tubes fans around here?

That's pretty cool! Isn't it a great feeling when you find that dirt/drive that just speaks to your soul?
Isn't the Hot Tubes EHX's version of the Colorsound Power Boost?

Re: EHX Hot Tubes nano
I've never looked at the Nano version, or the version that actually had a tube in it, but the original version was based on Craig Anderton's Tube Sound Fuzz. The Red Llama Overdrive and the Blackstone MosFet Overdrive are also based on that circuit. The Blackstone has a couple of very nice modifications, and the Red Llama has a few tweaks, but the Hot Tubes was more or less an exact copy. If you DIY that circuit, Anderton's book describes the mods the Blackstone and Llama use as options.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 01, 2019 6:11 pmThat's pretty cool! Re: EHX Hot Tubes nano
Just listened to a couple demos of the original, nano, and the Hot Wax (Hot Tubes + Crayon), and that's a damn nice sounding drive. Thanks for the info!!
