Re: Little Buster
Template looks great Chris!!
I was laying in bed today and happened to think about this project. This would be an epic design for a Bass VI as well

Re: Little Buster
That is true! Plenty of length to move the bridge back more.

Nice!
Logic gates based on billiard-ball computer designs have also been made to operate using live soldier crabs of the species Mictyris guinotae in place of the billiard balls.

Re: Little Buster
Got progress on the tummy cut. It is going to get a bit bigger, but this is looking pretty exciting to me. I like the shape the contour adds to the back.

Re: Little Buster
It is ready to head my way! I am so excited to see it. It looks even better than it did in my imagination! I can't wait to get to work on it.

Re: Little Buster
It's funny, the added slope where the body meets the neck pocket makes this look considerably more Fender-ish to me. That one little detail has such a big effect when I look at it, but maybe the (currently) natural look, black pickguard and string ferrules are just making it seem more like a Telecaster.
I like the look of that tummy cut.

Re: Little Buster
Man, that looks really really fantastic. Do you already have the neck Chris?

Re: Little Buster
I have a Peavey neck with a rosewood board. I think the Peavey headstock shape will echo the horns well.
I get a Fender and Rick vibe from it. I think the contours make the body shape way more interesting. It is like a piece of art. I am super excited to get it and go to work.

Re: Little Buster
Oh, hell yeah. A 6-in-line tuner headstock? I think I know which one you're talking about...

I hit the body with one coat of ebony stain. Looking pretty much dark brown. I will do a second coat when I finish the sides and back all around.

I love how wood reacts to stain. Never know how it will look.

Also printed and applied my headstock decal. I think it turned out pretty well.

The contours just make this body so fun to look at for me. It is like a sculpture.....
