exactly... it looks too ugly.

But you know what? I think it looks kinda cool, like those soviet guitars. Plus the new functions are very useful and interesting. You can definetley get a lot of sound out of that guitar

If I see one I am going to buy it

Because there won't anything like it ever again in our lifetime.

That is definitely the case. Also with others like the Mustang, Cyclone, Toronado and Bronco. Except for the Bronco, all of them had some racing / car themes going on at some point.
Come to think of it, the Bronco name might easily fit into the racing / car theme as well, since Ford had their 4WD vehicle of that name that was quite popular for events like the Baja 500, etc. And it would also fit in with 2 of the other 3 names being Ford products (Mustang, Mercury Cyclone).

So.... was Leo maybe a "Ford Guy?"? ;)

Was "Cyclone" a guitar model in Leo's time?

Well so much for the car connection theory then... Merc Cyclones went out of production in the very early 70's. And were only in production for a yer or two while Leo was still around. To be fair they weren't terribly common and not what you'd first come to think of when it comes to musclecars.

The Cyclone was paired with the Toronado ( ie tornado) when it was released

An atomospheric theme

Aaah, I had wondered what the connection was between those two models of guitar.
All good.

A decal doesn't make a cheap neck a Fender, though. Nothing ruined, just a decal wasted.

That one is an actual fender- neck and all. He just likes defiling them with a belt sander apparently.

Ick.
