Man, you and I are tuned to very similar wavelengths when it comes to color asthetics. I see your Sage Green bass and Iris Mist offset and raise you a Lake Placid tele:

Hot damn! Yea I didn’t know I needed iris mist until I saw your jag. That VI is killer! I’ve gotta get something blue to try to keep up. Beautiful family

What is this Iris Mist and where can I buy in bulk? That is such a sweet colour, are those custom paint jobs?
I'd love to have an Iris Mist to go with my Burgundy Mist. The word Mist is such a perfect adjective when it comes to colours like those.

Mine was nitro from Guitar Mill, nanamour's was diy lacquer iirc. It's an old color used on Chevy Impalas and such. Mine turned out a little more silver than lilac or iris or whatever, I still envy nanamour's jag.

Yep, it's a mid-60s Dupont GM colour, so kind of a potential Fender custom colour that never was.

I finished my Jaguar with acrylic lacquer spray cans from automotivetouchup.com, followed by Reranch nitro clear. The automotivetouchup paint cans are perhaps a hair overpriced for what they are but in my experience it's a quality product and they have a selection of colours from nearly any make, model, and year of car imaginable.

IIRC they do sell in bulk if that's yer joint.

The Jag looks pretty silver too under less saturated lighting. Your JM looks fantastic btw; normally not a tort guy at all, especially on metallics, but great call on the burgundy(?) Spitfire!

Thanks, dude! I'm an OSG cliche for being tort-obsessed. It's a burgundy subtle/speckled 60's Spitfire, and my crappy iphone picture really does not do it justice - the guy does spectacular work.

Iris Mist is one of my favorite colors too! I had Doug build me this Banshee using Iris Mist a couple of years ago. Love how it changes from purple'ish to grey. Excellent color. Looks great on a Jazzmaster!

so...what do you guys do with all of your cases?
If I was a byrd, I'd be mighty sore every time they shut the door and I don't think I'd sing...

I actually have no cases right now, which is a damn shame. I don't play out, though, so they're all resting in places within my bedroom where they can't become damaged.
