Did that actually happen? I've read conflicting things about that, one from Howard himself saying he was still there. I don't know if that was before or after something actually happened though...

Re: What is the pedal you've chased the longest?
I used to chase pedals, or at least have pedals that I felt I needed in order to be the guitarist that future me needed to have, but after getting a slew of my dream pedals... I soon I realized that a lot of it is hype or just simply not wholly better than the stuff I already had OR just simply not for me.
I can't really think of any one pedal that I absolutely dream of and I kind of like it that way... Also, Yannis/Zhivago seems to own all the pedals I still dream about.

Re: What is the pedal you've chased the longest?
After playing in a band and doing DIY recordings for years as a teenager/young adult with nothing but a DS-1, I finally started to branch out and try to get a better distortion sound. When I finally stumbled across a Rat everything fell into place. If I had found that pedal earlier, so many of my old songs would be more listenable to me right now. It makes me want to start a non-profit that gives Rat pedals to teenagers.
Very glued and greasy reverb sound

I'm collecting old DOD (only US ones), because they are usually quite cheap, and the Meatbox is the one I'm chasing for years. You can find one from times to times, but prices are stupidly high

I wanted a Maggie pedal for ages and then found one on Reverb. Now I'm looking out for a Magnavibe! lol

I just bought a Montreal Assembly Count to Five used a few months ago. It is awesome and something I have been eying for the last few years. Not a Holy Grail for me, but I am happy to finally own it.

Prob pedals that don't exist, since most I've wanted I've already bought and sold, or still have somewhere in the pedal junkyard.
A flanger that adds movement and mouth feel, without sounding metallic, '80s, swooshy, or noisy.
An OD that has clean bottom and snarling/ creamy top.
A Tone Bender that sounds great for under $80.
That's about it!

Re: What is the pedal you've chased the longest?
Chasing is maybe the wrong word but I lusted after a Moogerfooger Ring Modulator for years. I was waiting for the once-in-a-lifetime-bargain-price and always thought I can wait, I'll find it for less elsewhere. I'm afraid I will have to buy the next one I can get my hands on in the used market. The ring mods are still in production and widely available but the end is nigh! And I've already seen clusterfluxes for over 1500€ since Moog stopped building them. I need to get a ring mod before this gets completely out of control. It's already pretty hard to accept I'll never own a Freq Box but well...
