That's cool! I love her musicspacecadet wrote: ↑Thu Apr 12, 2018 3:36 pmJust saw Fazerdaze for the second time in 5 months, which is amazing because I'm in New York and she's a tiny little indie artist from New Zealand. She said at the show that she just loves coming to New York.
This show was even better than the one in November; she seems more used to playing with a band, and she didn't seem to run low on energy like she kind of did towards the end at the last show.
She's also really building up her stage presence. It's impossible to look away when she's up there. She seemed more confident this time, though she said she was really nervous when she played her one new song (which I wasn't sure about, and it featured no guitars).

Went to see Radiohead and they were awesome! But the sound was absolute shit. Plus there was a big freaking island in the middle of the field where most people were standing. Not to mention the horrible and expensive beer they were selling there. Man... I feel so disappointed

Re: the "whats on your concert list" thread
i got word yesterday morning that Neil Young and Crazy Horse were playing small theaters (1500 seats?) in Fresno and Bakersfield. 5 shows total, with no rehearsals, and Nils Lofgren filling in for Poncho Sampedro
we can get to Bakersfield in 1.6 hours from L.A., and i hadn't seen my old pal Billy Talbot play in many years. so off we went! it was really easy to buy a 9th row seat on the morning of the show at the Fox Theater. it was my Lady's birthday, so it was a no-brainer.
Jonathan Richman opened. he did great, but some of the crowd wasn't down with his fumbly energy. i love Neil and the Horse, i even got to record and spend some time with them a while back, but man i always forget how many boneheads come out for their shows until i get there
no big deal, tho - they were in very good form and i had been wondering if i'd ever get to see another Crazy Horse show again. downtown Bakersfield around the theater was rad! it was a great birthday night

Oh, cool. Enjoy and tell me how it was! Such a good live band and the singer is a great entertainer in his very own way.

it was fantastic, such a small venue. Franz was hoarse but still sounded amazing, and Martin is one hell of a guitar player! all in all pretty loud, too.
but i must confess, just as great was the local opener (Komplizen der Spielregeln), check them out. So much groove, with pre-recorded/sampled synths and all the WHOOOM you can wish for.
i spent almost all my money in CD's. then i had to escape from some drunken girls with leopard leggins.
since my GF is not at home i decided to check out a local bar close to home which is only open at night, but i was always intrigued by cuz it looks so cool from outside.
so i spent my last 10 euros there, and realized i'd been there until 2:30am, good music, good talks, good people.
the hangover is WAY worth it.
but now it's Schnitzel time!
Kreisky RULE. anytime i'll do it again.
maybe next time we can meet up and go together? where are you located again?
