Yeah, I'd definitely just be keeping the stuff in a case/drawer somewhere. Less to break! But you know, if I ever sold it, it'd be nice to have this stuff.

Hey, remember this guy?
Well I'm at home, sick with a chest infection or something, and because I can never sit still I decided to take off the pickup from this guitar and see what was underneath.

Thanks, Steven P.
If I find another one of these, for cheap, I'll send it your way!
Indeed!
I kind of sometimes forget about how cheap I got this one for. I've been really fortunate. Have to count my blessings more often...

My first "real" guitar was a 2 pickup Rocket. It had an unfortunate encounter with a concrete floor

Time to play some Courtney Barnett songs!

Not a huge Courtney Bartnett fan, but I can always play some Glaspy instead...

I absolutely love her first EP, If & When. I kind of wish she had kept with that sound, but her newer stuff is great too. Not a huge fan of her raggedy guitar sound, though, which is odd because it seems right up my alley. But in anycase, she's lovely.

Glaspy is pretty damn awesome, never got the hype around Courtney Bartnett though. I find her pretty uninteresting, personally. Same with Alabama Shakes, which seems to ruffle a lot of feathers, when I mention it.
The cool thing about fretless is you can hit a note...and then renegotiate.

SIR! I SAY! I SAY!!! Y'ALL HAVE MADE MY FEATHERS DANCE IN A MOST UNWELCOME MANNER AT THE DISRESPECT DIRECTED AT THE SHAKES!
I'm always a bit shocked by Glaspy's early, tentative performances. She's said that her Harmony was terrible to play and that having Julian convince her to move to Teles and a Strat, brought her to her musical adulthood.
Barnett's lyrics and droll delivery, along with some killer and slippery riffs are what hold my interest in her.

What was once a Harmony Rocket thread from 2015 is now a Courtney Bartnett shitposting thread.

Ya'll leave Courtney out of this! She's lovely. Her music and lyrics are much more interesting than Glaspy's, imo.
I'd put CB in more of a slacker pop kind of genre, which is exactly why i think fans of MG wouldn't appreciate it. MG's stuff is pretty literal and rootsy, ime. And yeah, she's very good at it but her music doesn't make me want to listen to her more than once. Just my 2p.
